3rd ID

I just finished this new painting that I was commissioned to paint for the clothing company 3rd ID. I worked with them in choosing the right image and colors in order to complete their vision. I was pretty happy to work with these guys because they were pretty open to my ideas and style of painting. Check them out at www.3rdidclothing.com

To What Degree

This past weekend we had the U.T.S.A Graduate student show at the Satellite Space in San Antonio. The show was full of work that ranged from painting, sculpture, photography, video and instillation. The graduate students work in a variety of mediums to get their ideas across, so the art ends up being very diverse. The show was a success with a large turnout over the 2 day opening. Here is an image of my painting along with some of my favorites from the show.

Doing what we love...

The Apprentice

This is our good friend Mikey who we have taken in as our apprentice. He is learning from some really dope painters, so his graffiti future looks good. Two main things that we look at when we find people to hand down some graffiti knowledge is respect and dedication. Look out for Mikey, he is the beginning of the next Sour Grapes Generation.

Complete Portrait, Part 2

I visited my good friend Zaul recently, owner of Complete Clothing in Austin. I usually stop by his store to say hi and see whats new in the streetwear game. The Complete Clothing family have been great supporters of my work and so I do my best to give back. This is where the Complete Portrait hangs now, high in sky so everyone can see it. I have been working on some printmaking work recently and I have been having a lot of fun with it. I am working with Xerox transfers, which are easy, quick and direct in its process. Its nice to produce something that is quick as apposed to a painting which can take me several days or weeks to complete. The content of the work is similar to that of my paintings. It deals with the
portraiture of artist, in this case a portrait of some graffiti artist.
